Your doors and windows take a beating in Charlotte — humidity swells the wood, foundations shift the frames, and seals break down over time. When they stop working right, you feel it every day: drafts you can’t sweep away, locks that catch on the strike, foggy panes you can’t see through, and bills that keep creeping up.
iFixx handles both sides of the problem: we repair what can be fixed (alignment, hardware, weather strip, rotted sections, screens) and replace what can’t with a brand-new unit. We measure, you approve the quote, we pick up the new door or window at Home Depot or Lowe’s, and we install — usually 3-5 days door-to-door.
Repair First, Replace When It Makes Sense
Most “broken” doors and windows don’t need to be replaced. A door that won’t close is usually an alignment fix. A window that won’t lock is usually a hardware swap. We start with the cheapest fix that solves the real problem — and only recommend replacement when the unit is genuinely beyond repair.
When Replacement Is the Right Call
Foggy windows (broken seal) can’t be re-sealed reliably — they need a new pane or full unit. Door frames with deep rot or kicked-in damage can’t be patched safely. Entry doors that no longer seal against the weather waste energy every month. In those cases we pick up a replacement unit from Home Depot or Lowe’s that matches your opening, and install it the same week.
